Yeah, Yeah I know I have not been on here for months. Well any way lets get this show on the road. Eric bought me a new camera for Christmas and here is a couple of pictures that I have taken with my new camera. You all know the love I have for barns well here is a day and night picture of this neat barn out side of Woodbine Iowa. I am pretty proud of these pictures so I hope you enjoy them. Well trying to post the day one but for some darn reason it is like those old tv's that you did your own color blue on top brown on bottom and this had pink in the middle what the heck is going on? I will try later to post it and see what happens.

The glow of the Hot Air Balloons

This is just to funny I haven't posted in months and in one day I have posted four times...LOL

Here it is about 7:30 and the balloons are coming back. While waiting I took a couple of pictures of the moon and the Kettle corn that Eric got. The rest of the pictures are of the balloons in all their glory. Totally awesome!!! Thanks honey for taking me I really enjoyed the day! Oh by the way I took 379 pictures yesterday so it was really hard ti figure out which ones I wanted to share with you.

Now after going to my brother in laws to watch Iowa and Iowa St. play football......Don't ask who won pretty boring game! Any way we went back to the Orchard at 5:30 to watch the balloons take off again and this time they were there to our great and happy surprise! Here are the pictures I took at set up and take off. I am soooooo very proud of my pictures I took I think I am getting the hang of this picture taking thing. LOL

Hot Air Balloons

Yesterday morning we left to meet Stephanie in Mondamin so we can go and watch the Hot Air Balloons take off at Ditmars Orchard in Council Bluffs. When we got there after a few detours and missing where to turn to go to Ditmars we finally found it. Well the balloons were not going to take off there, but they were going to land there. So here are the pictures of the balloons when they landed near the Orchard. Hope you enjoy them.

Corn Maze

I never thought in my wildest dreams I would do a corn maze. Well that was not on our list of things to do yesterday. We thought we were going to go and see some hot air balloons take off in Council Bluffs but the wind was not quit right so while we waited for them to land at the orchard we went in the corn maze. I have never been to crazy about going into a corn field the way it is, I don't like the feeling of being lost and don't know how to get out. Here are the pictures I took while Eric, Stephanie and I were walking our way through it.

Ballgame

Yesterday we went to a ballgame. Had a wonderful time. Finally we were able to meet up with Mike Helfrich and Joe, Mike hasn't changed one bit, still ol Mike.

I can not believe that we made it to Graceland I have dreamed of this day for years and it was so worth it. I could picture Elvis doing the things they said he would do there. Eric really enjoyed it alot too. And yes I cried, I don't know if it was cause I thought I would NEVER get the chance to go and the time had finally came or it was just that it is so said that the King of Rock and Roll is gone. Okay I finally have a breather to post on my blog. I know I have neglected it big time. Alot has happened sense my last post. The biggest thing was My daughter got married over Memorial weekend. Everyone said it was one of the most happiest weddings they have ever been too. Stephanie was so happy and so excited that the day had finally came that when her dad walked her down the isle, the minute she seen Travis the tears of joy were a flowing. Yesterday Stephanie came down and we worked on invitations and the programs. She designed a really cute program. While she did that I glued ribbon and hearts on the invitations. We had a great day together. We even got her headlight fixed on her car. Today is west Harrison's prom. My niece Emma is going so this evening we are going to the grand march and see all the girls dressed up. Emma is the last niece for awhile that will be going to prom. Oh my Nephew will probably be going too. It will be fun night to take pictures.

Sunday morning before I went to Church Stephanie and I went out to take pictures here in town and some out towards Murray hill. Had a great time. So I wanted to share the pictures with you. The old Ford dealership was falling down so they have been slowly cleaning it out and they started demolition this weekend on it and some of this pictures are of it.

The rest are of pictures that I took while on our way to Murray Hill.

It was so much fun going out and spending a hour with my daughter taking pictures. Some of these I think I am going to make black and white, and leave the sunflowers in yellow. That will be cool but can't do it right now until my big computer gets fixed. :0( But when it does I will post that picture.

We were watching these silly squirrel eating peanuts that Kim my sister-in-law had fed them and one of them was so greedy that he took two of them. It just to funny to watch them with the peanuts.

Isn't this the biggest Strawberry shortcake you have ever seen? It took two of us to eat it. It could of even of feed three of us. It was sooooo srcumpdelicious!!!!! We got it while we were on vacation this past week. We got it at a place called Ivanhoes in Upland Indiana. If you ever get to Upland you have got to try this place. This Shortcake was only $5.00 bucks. It puts Dairy Queen to shame.

Okay I know it has been a long time that I have posted any thing on my blog. I guess I have let Face Book do all the talking for me. We will start on April 4th it was our 23rd wedding Anniversary and my loving sweet heart got me this plate and a April angel bell. He is so sweet, what a lucky girl I am. Then he gifted me with George Strait and Reba concert tickets. Do you know how long it has been that I have gone to a concert. To long to remember! Then we see Reba on stage on the next picture, what an amazing show. I think she sang for over an hour and a half. Opps I thought I had these posted but guess what I didn't. Harlem Globetrotters

I know I know I am late posting these but been kinda busy. My Brother and his family have been here, so I was enjoying the time with them instead of posting. They left this morning so I decided I better get you up dated. Friday night we went to C.B. and went and see the Harlem Globetrotters. This was the first time we have ever gone. We had floor ticket, and to top it off front row seats no less. Awesome view!! So here are are some of the pictures that I took. There is about six of them that I have posted. I just posted the best ones. I had some opps pictures cause I zoomed in to much and the pictures are really grainy. Hard lesson to learn, to bad I had to learn this while I really wanted some awesome pictures. Oh well I know better now!!

Beauty and the Beast

Last night I had the pleaser of going to the Beauty and the Beast with my lovely daughter Stephanie. We ended up with awesome seats cause no one bought a bunch of them. It was really cool. The play was awesome the clothes and the actors were great. I can't say enough about this one I really enjoyed it. And I think peanut did too. She even cried in a few spots. I got a little chocked up at the end of it though. We had a great time. It was a long drive home though glad I had our car cause it had a radio in it and it works. I would of fallen asleep. I recommend this one to everyone!!! It is totally worth the money!!!

Missouri River over it banks. We took a drive today and this is what we found. We went to DeSoto Bend last weekend and the river was high then but I never thought it would get this high. A lot of it is under water. This picture was taken where you can park and watch the river. We might of been able to drive through it but I didn't want to take a chance.
This one is looking the other direction where they had
just put in a new bike run last year. And most of it is
under water.

This one is by the Burtrand where it sunk. You used to be like a beach like and you could have a picnic there. If you look close enough you can see the picnic table in the water.

In this one you can tell where the river begins or ends.

Now we are going to where Little Sioux Camp ground is and show you the river from there. These pictures were taken north of DeSoto Bend.

The one picture is of Eric going after a stick so he can start building the Ark. LOL

The SHAKE!!

Oh it's almost like heaven! I just so love these shakes, the Shamrock shake that is. Eric and I went for another drive yesterday afternoon and stopped in Dennison and I seen that they had my ultimate most favorite shake in the world. So after we ate a hamburger and a few fries we got us a shake and shared it. Well Eric had most of it but that is okay, I still got some!!!!! Did I make you hungry for one? Well Travis this is the closest look you are going to get to the wedding dress. As you can see the dress bag grew legs and hands. Thanks to Mom # 2 (Jackie) I just love this picture it shows what fun we had today and the tears that came from mom (ME). I think it just hit me like a tone of bricks that my baby is really getting married. I don't think it would of bothered me as much but I helped her put her dress on this time. Which was very special! :0) Eric's mom and my mom both got to see her try on her dress. She looked soooooo pretty in that dress today and I know she will knock Travis's socks off when he see's her. Eric hasn't see the dress yet but when peanut comes home again for a weekend I am sure we will show him the dress. He wants to wait for her to show him the dress how sweet is that.

Well here it is Valentines day and also the start of race season!!! As normal we tried to watch the whole race with out falling asleep. We didn't make it, We both fell asleep at different times during the race. Kinda a funny if you think about it, we have been so excited about race season starting and we fall asleep. Today I am going to cheat a little. I had taken this picture while were having all the fog and frost but had a different picture that day I wanted to post. Well not to bad I have done three days in a row now think that is a record? LOL Today I am not doing food, I took a picture of my Zune, that my family had gotten me a year ago for Christmas. It holds all and I do mean all of my CD's that I own 3,184 songs are on it right now, and I think four of my favorite movies. Wild Hogs is one of them. I just love my toy. The song rang from 1950 to present time with a lot of country and a little of rock and roll. Of course Elvis and George Strait in my Zune is a must. hehehehe

I tried to order them from QVC a few weeks ago while I was house sitting but I couldn't get logged into their computer. She let me down load them on to my Zune I am so excited. What a beautiful morning it is. God has been working over night and this is what we woke up to. These pictures was taken over at our neighbors pine tree. Just love the colors in these pictures. Everything is just soo pretty this morning. The fog is even pretty, if that can be possible?

This is my loving hubby looking through some of his OLD albums that we left at his sisters house and she brought them to the birthday party to give to us or Jordan Eric's little brother. We had more than 250 albums between the two of us when we moved to Iowa. (Most were Eric's) We had given Jordan a bunch of them years ago but never gave him the rest. We are entrusting him with our treasures..... Here at the end of our street is the city park so I thought I would walk down and see if I could walk in the park cause it has frosted and it is really pretty in the park and I came across this sign that one shows me that it is closed in but I found it funny you can't really even go one way. Okay I can't believe I am saying this and it is coming out of my mouth. I have had enough SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had about 24 inches Christmas and had another 3 inches Sunday and now another 4-7 is on it's way. It probably wouldn't be so bad but we are running out of room to put all of this snow. This morning it was a big whopping -22 degrees and right now it warmer at -8 degrees. We are having a heat wave!!!! LOL Stephanie might have to leave early to go back to school in Sheldon, or she will miss classes Thursday. Never thought that I would see this much snow at once. I did see it when I was a kid (which was not to long ago LOL) Some one told me that the ground doesn't even have frost in it if any. I walked to town this morning, it wasn't to bad cause there was no wind. The ol scarf did freeze up from me breathing on it and the coat made crackling noises when I walked so that is cold. Thought it just might shatter from all the cold. The little beast started up this morning but was a little mad. Well stay warm and safe.

Well here it is Christmas Eve, the time has gone by so fast. We are home safe and sound this year, cause we are in the middle of a blizzard. Good thing we were going to be home for Christmas this year cause we ain't going no where. Probably wouldn't be able to go any where any way even if it wasn't snowing and blowing. Peanut is sick and we couldn't leave her home and we go and have fun that would not be cool.. I never got a Christmas card out this year I guess I just haven't been in a festive mood this year. Some cookies did get baked, candy is waiting to be done. I did get my letter typed so I still might get my card out but they will mailed after Christmas, guess it is the thought that counts right. We had a death here in town of a young girl of 24-25 years old. It really got me thinking of all the stuff we take for granted. Like having a tree to decorate, warm place to live, friends, family, life, even the really small things like have a glass of water. It is amazing what God has given us and we do not thank him for that. And I am one that doesn't, so thank God for the little things in your life no matter how small or how big or silly you might think it is. Today I will thank him for my pictures of the year and my Christmas tree ornaments. I cherish them all, boughten ones, homemade one, I love them all!

I wish most of all health for everyone this coming year.

The picture was my attempt to taking pictures of one of my new ornaments. I feel I will never get the hang of taking pictures in the house. Long day in Sioux City today, I had to go and get groceries which I hate to do in the first place. I will never figure out why we eat so much food as a family. LOL But hey look what I took, this will be a bit long in photos . This place is along the river front near downtown Sioux City right across from the Tyson center. We are going to take Stephanie and Travis engagement pictures here next spring and fall. Boy are we going to have some fun!!! It is such a beautiful place. Yeah I still scrapbook. I know, I know it has been a long that I have posted any pages. Well here are some that I have done in the past month. I did them with my good friend Dee Ann, my partner in crime. LOL Well this first page is my other partners in crime Jane, Deb during a picnic on Father's day this year.This one of my Nephew Jack at one of his first football games this year.
This one is pictures that we had taken the end of September at Pape's pond also known as Jones Creek. Stephanie was showing me how to use my camera. She has a long road ahead of her!!! LOL
No this one was Dee Ann, Denise and me at the Omaha zoo in June. Some more partners in crime!!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that my page topper was taken by my loving daughter last weekend while she was here. (Sept. 19-20, 2009) She is taking photography and they are doing a fund raiser for the holidays so she is taking pictures of the Losse Hills in Iowa. In the mean time she is also trying to teach her dumb mother how to really use her camera. LOL I some day may get the hang of this new of photography. She did such a wonderful job I just had to share it with you. Hope you love it as much as I do. Oh yeah if you didn't know that is Eric and I in the picture. :0)

Stephanie just called and told me that Patrick Swayze pasted away this evening or this afternoon. I really liked his movies and liked him as a person. You fought the fight for a long time, now you can rest in peace.

Yeah my computer is in the doctors. :-(
I took it in last Tuesday, so it has been over a week now with out connection to the world. I am on my mom's right now so that kinda helps, but it is not the same!! To top it all off Stephanie's is in the doc's too. They better fix them this time. Mine needs a new motherboard. It is only about four months old it shouldn't be doing this. At least both computers have warranties so it wont cost nothing to have them fixed.

Busy day went and took mom to Missouri Valley to get her oil changed in her car. Then came home and Eric was home already so I opened my gift from peanut, she got me the Brad Paisley CD "American Saturday Night" I am listening to it right now my favorite song is coming up "Then" I just love this song! After that we headed to CB and went to the Ameristar for lunch. It wasn't to bad, but kind of expensive though. Then we went to Home Depot and Menard's for some thing to put in the garage that would hold our tubs out of the way. We found one but the box was damaged and I am not paying $60.00 for a damaged box. Then we went to the new Bob Kerrey pedestrian Bridge the goes between Omaha and Council Bluffs. I think it is about a mile if you walk from one end and back. But I will find out. I found out it is 2,224 feet. Here is some of the pictures I took while we walked on it, one of my feet is when I was in Nebraska and Iowa at the same time. lol Kinda heavy on the pictures!!!
