Okay I guess it is time to play catch up with you all. Travis and Stephanie took my computer Sunday and I have been lost with out it. But my loving mom has let me use hers until I get mine back. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I walked to coffee. Yeah you can pick your mouth off the floor now from shock. I did walk. But today I blew it. It was -26 out side and really didn't feel like walking in that cold of weather.
Mom has been making these veggie drinks from her new juicer. Well the first one was just nasty. But the more I have them the better they are getting. I like the ones with apples in them the most. I think I am feeling better but you never now if it is wishful thinking that I am. She is also making smoothies which I really love.
Do you realize that we have had snow on the ground sense November 25th, 2007. Sorry don't want to make any one bummed. And we are to get more tomorrow morning. They are saying another inch. I love the snow but this darn cold spurt that we have had for over a week now is for the birds. I am ready for some warmer weather!!!!! Yeah, yeah, yeah that came form the one that likes the snow.
I guess peanut is coming home this weekend. She misses me!!! Not really Travis needs to come home cause his computer is messed up and needs his dad to fix it. So they are coming home for the weekend.
:0)
Well hope I can post again soon. Sorry it has taken me so long to do so. Don't know who reads these but I hope someone does and enjoys hearing from me.

Brrrrrrrr!
The computer reads 18 outside but it feels like it is -10 outside. The wind is howling and the snow is flying. We will have drifts in the morning. Went to bible study today with mom and Red Hats this morning. Now I am warm nice and toasty in my house. It is a good night to snuggle up to a warm blanket and a good movie and call it a night. Oh yeah and some creamy Hot chocolate. With warm fuzzy bedroom slippers. We are only to get 1-2 inches tonight. Omaha is already on accident alert for the evening. Crazy people. Don't anyone know how to slow down when the weather is bad? I guess not they are all in a hurry to get home or to where they are going. It doesn't take me much when I get warm and cozy to fall asleep. So nightie night you all.
Peanut started her (Spring) classes today. That is kind of a oxymoron if I ever heard one. Oh well that is what I guess they call it. I think I would find a different name for it than Spring. I have not heard how they went yet so I hope they went well.
Stay warm you all!!!!!

God's WOW!
Make a slideshow - it's easy! |
Today was a wow day for God. I got up this morning and took peanut back to college. We left around 8:30 - 9:00 and as I turned the corner I seen the most beautiful tree just covered in frost. wow I said we need a picture. So peanut got her camera out and took a few pictures of it. From the post office to trying to head out of town we tried to take a bunch more. Well the pictures on the site I am taking you too are not the ones we took here in town. Peanut hasn't down loaded them to me yet, so when she does I will add those also. These are of the pictures that I took while we were on the interstate heading to Sioux City. They were mostly taken at a the two rest areas on the way up there one at just the truck stop and the other one is at the rest area. They are just beautiful. The frost kept getting heavier and heavier as we headed up to Sioux City. I was just amazed on what God can do. Enjoy these photos, I hope to add more soon!!! Thanks peanut for showing me this site!!!!

New Years Resolutions?
Okay how many of you have kept your New Years Resolutions? Well I have had the same one for years so this year I thought different. I wanted to get more organized. hehe well guess who hasn't even started with her new years resolution! Yeap you got it me. My sister-in-law Kim sent this to me so I thought I would pass it on to those who are trying to keep their resolutions on loosing weight.
'Twas the week after Christmas, and all through the house Nothing would fit me, not even a blouse. The cookies I'd nibbled, the eggnog I'd taste At the holiday parties had gone to my waist.
When I got on the scales there arose such a number! When I walked to the store (less a walk than a lumber).
I'd remember the marvelous meals I'd prepared; The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared,
The wine and the rum balls, the bread and the cheese And the way I'd never said, "No thank you, please."
As I dressed myself in my husband's old shirt And prepared once again to do battle with dirt
I said to myself, as I only can "You can't spend a winter disguised as a man!"
So away with the last of the sour cream dip, Get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip
Every last bit of food that I like must be banished "Till all the additional ounces have vanished.
I won't have a cookie - not even a lick. I'll want only to chew on a long celery stick.
I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie, I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry.
I'm hungry, I'm lonesome, and life is a bore But isn't that what January is for?
Unable to giggle, no longer a riot. Happy New Year to all and to all a good diet!

wow 2008
I just can't believe it is 2008!! It just seems like yesterday when were welcoming in the new year of 2007 with lots of excitement. Stephanie graduating High School, her going off to college, and Eric graduating from Lay Leadership School. And now here is it time to reflect on the past year and look forward to a new year of hidden surprises, a time of worry and of hope for our family.
We spent New Years Eve with my dear friend Deb Nelsen. She hosted a fabulous party with Peggy, & Ralph Hussing, Lynne Deb's daughter and her friend Cole and his mom Lori. Peggy Ganzhorn and Terry McHugh. We ate loads of good food and played lots of fun games. By 10:00 PM the adults were looking at the clock and wondering if it was time to say Happy New Year (is this a sign of getting old?) :0)
Well all made it to Midnight except one. By 12:30 AM we were all ready to head home to our comfort of our beds.
Stephanie went to her boy friends grandparents house to celebrate and got home after we did. These young kids staying out later than their parents.
We all slept in till about 8:30 then I got up and made french toast for every one. MM MM good! Now we are all just chilling for the day. Mom went over to Bob and Bobbie's house for lunch and to play card with Doris, Marlys, & LeAnna.
As for us nothing to exciting? Just trying to think of a new years resolution I guess my biggest is to get organized and things cleaned up in my craft room so I could feel like scrapbooking again.
HAPPY NEW YEAR AND GOD'S BLESSINGS TO ALL!!!
